Ocean Diver
If you have never dived before this is the course for you! This course consists of 6 classroom theory sessions (can be done via eLearning if needed) + 5 pool lessons (usually covered in 3 evenings) and 4 open water lessons which take place in the sea.
The cost:
- £150 to BUUC – This pays for your use of equipment, the use of a pool, membership to the club, and any costs to instructors.
- £90 to BSAC – This covers insurance for you and your instuctors, the material for the theory side of the course, and membership to BSAC itself.
What you need?
BUUC and its instructors are able to provide most but not all of the equipment. But is not able to provide:
- A pair of neoprene boots (make sure they fit you)
- A pair of neoprene gloves (same here)
- Transportation to and from dive sites (we usually drive)
- Food or drink costs on training trips
- Individual trip (holiday) costs
